Combating Corruption

On December 11, 2024, a roundtable discussion was organized at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies by the Compliance Control Department for Combating Corruption, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, as part of the “Open Doors Day” initiative dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day, marked on December 9.

This event supports the achievement of UN Sustainable Development Goal 16 – “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions”, by promoting anti-corruption efforts, ensuring the rule of law, and strengthening public trust.

The roundtable was attended by F.M. Boyturaev, a leading specialist from the Tashkent City Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency. He provided detailed information on the concept of corruption, its negative impact on society, the ongoing reforms in the country, and the legal responsibilities stipulated for corrupt practices.

At the end of the event, the winners of the competition held under the slogan Youth Say No to Corruption” were ceremoniously awarded. Such activities help foster honesty, justice, and civic responsibility among youth.
