Developing International cooperation
On September 20, 2022, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies was visited by employees of Busan City Hall of the Republic of Korea, members of Busan City Council, employees, teachers, and students of Busan National University and Pusan University of Foreign Languages. This visit was carried out within the framework of the “Busan – Eurasian Expedition” project of the Republic of Korea, aimed at developing and strengthening friendly relations between students of Pusan higher education institutions and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. During the visit of the Korean delegation, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Busan University of Foreign Languages.
During the meeting, the Korean guests’ detailed information was provided to Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, which trained orientalists with knowledge and skills in Korean language and literature, Korean history, culture, economy, politics, and international relations, also, it is the leading higher education institution in the Central Asian region that conducts scientific research in these areas, and this language is now taught in all faculties within TSUOS. At the same time, the educational process and activities of the graduates, the new building of the university, and the conditions of the classrooms were closely introduced.
After the meeting, in the main part of the meeting, Korean and Uzbek students held a scientific seminar, lectures, and presentations on the implementation of measures aimed at ecology, including environmental protection, in the Republic of Uzbekistan and Republic of Korea.
