Ecosystem Sustainability and Migration

On September 19, 2024, a scientific seminar on “The Impact of Climate Factors on Migration Processes and Sustainable Development” was organized by Bahtiyor Ismoilov, a doctoral student at the Department of Foreign Economic Activity under the Institute of Foreign Policy and International Economic Relations at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.

This seminar was of great importance within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals—specifically Goal 15: Life on Land. The seminar extensively discussed the impact of climate change on natural resources and ecosystems, the consequences of migration caused by the worsening living conditions in rural areas, and the effects of these processes on ecological sustainability.
During the event, participants exchanged views on best practices for reducing migration and preserving ecosystems, as well as the importance of international cooperation and regional sustainable development strategies.
