Educational cooperation with Minzu University, China
On March 19-23, 2024, the Rector of TSUOS G. Rikhsieva, who returned from a business trip to the People’s Republic of China, visited Minzu University of China and had a meeting with the President of Minzu University, Prof. Guo Guangsheng. During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the two universities were discussed, and it was agreed to open a center for Central Asian studies under TSUOS. Also, during the negotiations, the implementation of 3 scientific projects on the topics of historical relations between Central Asia and China, tourism and economy proposed by the scientists of TSUOS was discussed. In addition, it was agreed that 7 Chinese students would study at TSUOS, and the same number of students from TSUOS would study at Minzu University for one academic year as part of the student academic exchange program.
At the same time, the Rector of TSUOS gave a lecture on the status of the Uzbek language, language policy in Uzbekistan, and studying the Uzbek language for students at Minzu University. After the lecture, the students were informed about Navruz holiday and spring traditions, which are considered to be national values of the Uzbek people.
