Having a policy on divesting investments
Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies does not have a specific policy on divesting investments from carbon-intensive energy industries, such as coal and oil. This is primarily because our institution does not specialize in training professionals in mechanical or engineering sciences, which limits our direct engagement with industries heavily reliant on fossil fuels.
However, students at TSUOS, particularly those majoring in economics, regularly participate in internships with organizations like Uzbekneftegaz to gain practical insights into how the energy system operates and to learn about the energy efficiency methods implemented in Uzbekistan.
