International Cooperation and Women’s Leadership
On September 20–22, 2024, the 7th International Silk Road Cultural Expo was held in Dunhuang, People’s Republic of China.
Within the Expo, at the “Belt and Road” Cooperation and Development Forum between China and South and Central Asian countries, organized by Lanzhou University, Lola Akmalovna, Associate Professor of the School of Chinese Studies at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Director of Lanzhou University Cultural Exchange Center, and Nargiza Niyazova, Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations, Head and Director of the Gender Research Center of TSUOS, participated with their presentations.
This forum not only serves to strengthen international cooperation between China and Central Asian countries but also promotes gender equality by highlighting women’s leadership and active participation in the academic field. Associate Professor Niyazova’s role as Director of the Gender Research Center contributes to raising awareness of gender issues and expanding women’s roles and opportunities within the scientific community.
Such events play an important role in developing international cooperation, enhancing intercultural dialogue, and ensuring women’s leadership in sustainable development.
