International scientific conference dedicated to Indology
On October 8, 2022, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies hosted an international scientific conference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Indology called “Central and South Asia: At the Crossroads of Intercultural Dialogue”.
Mr. Manish Prabhat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Uzbekistan, scientists and senior representatives of the field from foreign countries such as India, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Singapore, Mauritius, China, Egypt, Sweden, Sri Lanka, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan participated in it.
The conference discussed the history and development of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and India, the future prospects of this cooperation, and essential issues in political, economic, and scientific fields. This conference, organized as part of the 75th-anniversary event of Department of South and Southeast Asian Languages of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, serves to convey the strong roots of the historical relations between the two countries to the young generation and strengthen them in the future.
