International scientific-practical conference on ethnohistorical processes
On October 28, 2023, the Department of History and Ethnology of the Peoples of Central Asia of Tashkent state university of oriental studies held an international scientific conference on the topic “Ethno-historical processes of the peoples of Central Asia: yesterday and today”.
The purpose of the conference was to study the ethnohistorical processes of the Central Asian region in different periods of history and to show the achievements, to define today’s problems and future plans, to form common concepts in the views of regional historians, and to illuminate the ethnography and ethnology of the region within the framework of historiography and source studies as well as to exchange ideas with experts in the field operating in their countries.
A total of 100 participants took part in the conference, 26 from 11 foreign countries and 74 local ones.
