Open Lecture Dedicated to the Issues of Quality Education
An open lecture on the topic of “SDG 4 – Quality Education” within the framework of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was conducted by Akbar Ibragimov, English language instructor at the Department of Western Languages of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, together with first-year students of the Korean-English group of the Faculty of Korean Studies.
During the lecture, students discussed global issues related to improving the quality of education, ensuring equal opportunities, and creating an inclusive and fair educational environment for all. The lecture was organized using interactive methods, and students analyzed the importance of SDG 4, its role at the national and international levels, and its relevance to educational reforms in Uzbekistan.
Additionally, students, divided into groups, prepared and presented their ideas and solutions on topics such as innovative approaches in education, digital learning opportunities, and equity in education.
The open lecture helped students not only to improve their language skills but also to enhance their analytical thinking, teamwork abilities, and understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals.
