Pomegranate Festival within the Framework of SDG 2
On November 20, 2024, the Pomegranate Festival was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goal 2: “Zero Hunger – End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture”.
The event was attended by representatives of the Heydar Aliev Cultural Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan, staff of Baku Restaurant, artist Muhammed Ahmedov, as well as professors and students of the Higher School of Turkic Studies.
During the festival, students shared fascinating information about pomegranates. The program also featured a variety of competitions such as fast and clean pomegranate peeling, preparing pomegranate salad, drawing pomegranate illustrations, performing national dances, and reciting poetry.
At the end of the festival, winners were awarded Certificates of Appreciation and souvenirs.
