Programmes for local community

Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies actively provides programs aimed at educating the local community on the importance of energy efficiency and clean energy. Through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs, we engage community members in understanding sustainable energy practices and the benefits of energy conservation. Additionally, our curriculum incorporates sustainability and energy-related topics, enabling students and community participants to apply these principles practically.

Besides, there are a number of subjects such as “Sustainable Development Goals of the Countries in the Studied Region,” which have been introduced into the curriculum for part-time bachelor’s students in their fifth year, specifically those majoring in “Economics of Foreign Countries and Country Studies (depending on what country students choose such as Japan, South Korea, China or Arabic countries)”. This course spans a total of 90 hours and focuses on understanding the sustainable development goals specific to the regions the students are studying. Additionally, the subject “Green Economy” has also been introduced, with a similar 90-hour format, which delves into the principles of sustainable economic models and the importance of environmental responsibility within economic practices.

Besides, topics such as international energy security, energy diplomacy, the energy factor in international relations, and energy-related impacts are also taught to students, providing them with deeper insights into the global significance of energy issues. Additionally, a number of students conduct research in energy efficiency at TSUOS. For instance, Nigmanov Azizbek, a PhD student of TSUOS, conducting research on the topic titled “International approaches to reducing energy consumption in Uzbekistan’s industrial sectors”.
