Project Lesson on “SDG17 – Partnerships for the Goals”
On November 14, 2024, English language teacher Komilova Dildora conducted a project lesson for second-year students of the History (Japanese/Korean language) program on the topic “SDG17 – Partnerships for the Goals.”
The project aimed to familiarize students with the United Nations’ 17th Sustainable Development Goal—partnerships for sustainable development—and to develop their skills in expressing ideas freely and delivering presentations in English. Over three weeks, students worked in groups researching various topics. Presentations were prepared using interactive materials, slides, posters, articles, and videos, showcasing a creative approach.
Students grasped the relevance of the topic while gaining deep knowledge of SDG17. The project highlighted each student’s engagement, independent thinking, and teamwork skills. Modern teaching methods and interactive techniques were widely employed throughout the course. This project enhanced not only the students’ language abilities but also their capacity to analyze global issues.
