Social Protection of Students and Ensuring Food Security
On November 26, 2024, an international webinar was held at the Higher School of Iranian and Afghan Studies of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 2 — “Zero Hunger: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture”. The webinar was dedicated to the topic of “Social Protection of Students”.
The webinar featured presentations by Professor Akhlaq Ahan from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India; Professor Elaheh Soleymani from Azadi University, Islamic Republic of Iran; and foreign lecturers from the Higher School of Iranian and Afghan Studies at TSUOS, PhD Sima Abbasi and PhD Ugiljon Abduvalieva.
During the webinar, participants discussed issues related to sustainable food systems, expanding healthy nutrition opportunities for students, and supporting socially vulnerable groups.
