Teaching of the Indonesian Language at TSUOS

On May 20, 2024, a special report was broadcast on RCTI, one of Indonesia’s largest national television channels, featuring the teaching of the Indonesian language at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS).

The report highlighted the activities of the Indonesia Center at the university and the inclusion of Indonesian as a major foreign language across several academic programs. It also emphasized the recognition of Indonesian as an official language at UNESCO sessions and its growing international significance.
Such initiatives contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting inclusivity in education and enhancing students’ linguistic and cultural competencies, thereby expanding access to quality education.

During the broadcast, Indonesian expert Fandi Hasib and TSUOS students shared their experiences and perspectives on learning the Indonesian language and fostering intercultural understanding.
