TSUOS Team in Nukus
On November 9, 2024, a delegation from Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), led by Rector Gulchehra Rikhsieva and accompanied by an active youth group, participated in a tree-planting marathon held in Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan. The event was organized within the framework of the national “Green Space” initiative, launched by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
This initiative was aimed not only at promoting environmental sustainability but also at fostering ecological awareness among young people and encouraging a responsible attitude toward nature. The active involvement of the TSUOS team in this environmental campaign reflects the university’s practical commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 15: “Life on Land.”
Through tree planting, the university contributed to national and global efforts to preserve biodiversity, prevent desertification, combat soil erosion, and expand green areas.
