Department of “Iranian-Afghan Philology”
In 1944, The Department of Iranian Philology was established under the leadership of Ye.E. Bertels
From 1955, Arends became the head of the Department of Iranian-Afghan Philology, during which time many foreign orientalists worked in the department. (A. Tabotaboiy (Ustuvor), Hamidiy Eftixor, Xal’atbariy, Rustamiy, K.A. Shidfarlar)
