Department of “Economics and Management”
The department of economics and management has 20 faculty members in the academic year 2024-2025. Of these, 5 candidates of science (all associate professors), 2 doctors of philosophy (1 associate professor, 1 senior lecturer), 6 senior lecturers, 5 lecturers, and 2 assistant lecturers. The department’s scientific potential is 35%. Currently, the department trains specialists in the following fields and specialties: 60410100 – “Economics”, 60410800 – “Management”, 60411400 – “Area Studies”, 70410108 – “Regional Economics”, and 70411401 – “Area Studies”. Students of the department are laureates of a number of international and well-known state scholarships. Over the years, students from the department have become recipients of the Presidential State Scholarship of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Navoi State Scholarship, and the Islam Karimov State Scholarship. They have also received educational grants from countries such as China, USA, India, Japan, Turkey, the Arab countries, and Indonesia to pursue bachelor’s and master’s degrees, language courses, and further studies abroad. Additionally, students, postgraduates, and research staff participate in both long-term and short-term internships in foreign countries.
