Mobile projects are an important tool for the internationalization of higher education

On December 16, 2020, at the initiative of the National Group of Experts in Higher Education Erasmus +, the IV Republican Scientific and Practical Conference “International Credit Mobility: Its Role and Significance in Improving the Quality of Education and Research” was held, the purpose of which was to improve the quality and efficiency of the educational process and scientific research specialists of Uzbekistan through the exchange of knowledge and experience accumulated during the period of mobility and the implementation of the results achieved in scientific research in Uzbekistan.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, Erasmus + in Uzbekistan, as well as professors, teachers, researchers and students of local and foreign higher educational institutions.
Opening the event with a welcoming speech, the rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies Gulchekhra Rikhsieva noted that the process of internationalization of the higher education system has accelerated over the past three years, during this period of time important Resolutions were adopted, Decrees on fundamental reforms in the field of education, on radical improvement of the quality of education, on organization of the higher education system in the republic in accordance with generally recognized international standards, she also shared her opinion on the importance of mobility in education.
Erasmus + National Coordinator A. Abdurakhmanova in her speech emphasized that academic mobility of teachers, students and researchers is one of the key areas of internationalization and one of the main tools for improving the quality of education in the higher education system. If we pay attention to the numbers, then, according to the results of competitions in 2015-2020, 45 universities of Uzbekistan have only established 432 partnership agreements with European universities, thanks to which 1423 students, doctoral students and teachers received the opportunity to internships in Europe, 644 doctoral students and professors of European universities visited Uzbekistan.
During the event, Javlon Abdujalilov, Head of the International Relations Department of the MHSSE, Coordinator of the Erasmus + Program in Uzbekistan Aziza Abdurakhmanova and a number of members of the National Group of Experts in Higher Education discussed cooperation between higher educational institutions of our country on the one hand and Erasmus +, international universities on the other hand, expressed their opinion on the current situation and made recommendations for further improvement of this area.
Along with this, the participants of the event heard reports on such issues as the organization of the educational process in foreign universities and the introduction of advanced methods of mobility in our republic.
At the end of the conference, experts answered questions from participants, and the most active participants were awarded certificates and diplomas in 5 nominations.
