At the beginning of the event, a minute of silence was observed in memory of those who died due to the earthquake in Turkey. Olimjon Davlatov, the executive director of the International Public Fund named after Alisher Navoi, noted that in recent years, the study of the work of our great thinker grandfather has been brought to a new level in terms of quality and content. The decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on October 19, 2020 to celebrate the 580th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi’s birth became significant as it opened up new perspectives in the full study of the work of the world-renowned thinker. The International Public Fund named after Alisher Navoi, established in accordance with this document, is carrying out a large-scale work on the creation of a mobile application of the explanatory dictionary of Navoi’s works, the careful study and promotion of his heritage, and the strengthening of international cooperation. Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, People’s Poet Sirojiddin Sayyid Benazir spoke in detail about the work of the poet and read his new essay on her poetry. The head of Alisher Navoi International Scientific Research Center in Turkey, Abdurahman Gozal, noted that the great man’s work and activities are receiving more and more attention abroad.
