Uzbekistan’s Rich Cultural Heritage, Science, and Tourism Potential Promoted on an International Level

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Culture, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia jointly organized an important international cultural and educational event titled “Uzbekistan – A Precious Pearl of World Heritage.”
The conference was dedicated to the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which will take place in Samarkand in 2025, and was held on February 18 at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia. During the event, Uzbekistan’s cultural and scientific heritage, historical monuments, and tourism opportunities were presented.
As part of the cultural program, the “Nurafshon” song and dance ensemble performed national musical pieces, and the tradition of preparing plov, which is included in UNESCO’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, was demonstrated.
