ACTUAL PROBLEMS OF MODERN ETHNOLOGICAL RESEARCHES IN UZBEKISTAN
A roundtable discussion on the issues of ethnology was organised in the framework of cooperation with the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the department of History and Source Studies of the Nations of Central Asia of the Faculty of History and Philosophy of the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies. During this event, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Adhamjon Ashirov made an open conference on the topic “Actual problems of modern ethnological research in Uzbekistan.” The professor described the essence of the pressing problems of modern ethnology, his views on possible solutions to the problems . The students of the department received full answers to their questions after listening to his report. Then, Doctor of History, Professor of the Department of History and Source Studies of the Nations of Central Asia A.KH. Doniyorov in his report spoke about the modern state of the science of ethnology in Uzbekistan, the work done in this area, and the problems that need to be solved. Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department M.M. Iskhakov shared interesting facts about the life and work of ethnographers who worked in the past. At the end of the event, those present thanked Professor A.A. for sharing such valuable informations, not sparing time, devoting it to students.
