Meeting of the Rector with Female Students
On March 17, 2026, the Rector of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Gulchekhra Rikhsiyeva, held a meeting with female students. The meeting was organized in order to implement the Presidential Decree of March 3, 2026, “On additional organizational and legal measures to strengthen the protection of the rights of women and children and to prevent cases of harassment and violence against them.”
During the meeting, issues related to ensuring women’s rights and protecting them from all forms of pressure and violence were discussed. Explanations were also provided on preventing early marriages among female students and the importance of building a healthy and stable family.
At the event, information was presented about the “Student Mother” social project implemented by MTDP, its essence, as well as measures to support and protect young mothers. In addition, special attention was given to preserving and strengthening the family and promoting family values.
The meeting also highlighted the opportunities available at the university, including the activities of the “Mother and Child” room. Female students were encouraged to effectively use university centers and actively participate in various clubs.
This meeting plays an important role in improving the legal awareness of female students, supporting their social engagement, and ensuring a safe environment.
