Employees of the university actively participate in the Tashkent city stage of sports competitions held under the slogan “Sport – Guarantee of Health”
On the occasion of the day of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan on November 11, representatives of the team of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies also took an active part in sports competitions held on November 21-22 under the slogan “Sports – Guarantee of Health” between professors and employees of educational institutions and organizations for the cup of the network Trade Union Tashkent City Council. In the women’s competition in the sport checkers, Oygul Turlibekova, a trainee – teacher of the Department of economics of the Eastern countries, won 1st place and Shirin Sadigova, head of the Department of Uzbek language and literature in chess, won 3rd place. Izzatbek Rahimboyev, tutor of the Faculty of Oriental Civilization and History, won the 3rd place in men’s chess, and Aziz Khilyamovich Khudayberdiev, associate professor of the Department of History and Anthropology of Eastern Countries, won 3rd place in table tennis. In terms of football, our university’s men Farkhod Dehkanov, Diyorbek Narimanov, Khondamir Sharapov, Imomiddin Karshiyev, Jahongir Javmirov, Nadir Vakhabov, Salokhiddin Olimjonov, Bekhzod Zakirov, Latifboy Sobirov and Javlon Sobirov took the second place. All participants who took part in sports competitions and achieved results were awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts by the Council of the Tashkent City Branch of the Trade Union of Education and Science Employees of Uzbekistan.
