Joint educational programs are planned to be launched with Sultan Qaboos University
On March 30, 2026, an online meeting was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies with representatives of Sultan Qaboos University to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the renewal of cooperation agreements between the universities, the launch of student exchange opportunities through joint educational programs, and the organization of professional development courses for academic staff.
The TSUOS representatives put forward several proposals, including:
• developing a new cooperation agreement and a three-year roadmap;
• launching joint educational programs for master’s students under the 1+1 model;
• organizing faculty and student exchange programs;
• implementing joint research projects and international conferences.
The foreign side highly appreciated all the proposed initiatives and expressed readiness to continue cooperation at a new stage. They also proposed signing a new-format cooperation agreement and emphasized the need to appoint responsible coordinators for the implementation of joint activities.
