About the Quality Control Department of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies
The Department of Education Quality Control at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) was established in accordance with paragraph 14 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 515, dated July 18, 2017, titled “On the Organization of the Activity of the State Inspectorate for Quality Control of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.” According to the order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 72, dated March 27, 2023, the Department of Education Quality Control was reorganized and is now directly part of the structure of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
Purpose of the Department
The main goal of the department is to study and analyze the compliance of students’ knowledge with state educational standards, monitor the quality of personnel training, and organize the university’s internal attestation. The department aims to identify factors negatively impacting the quality of education and to implement measures to eliminate and prevent them.
About the Department
The department conducts its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Education,” decisions of the Chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and directives from the Rector of the University. It adheres to decrees, decisions, and orders from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Additionally, the department operates in compliance with the orders and legal instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, as well as the university’s internal regulations. Within the organizational structure of the university, the Department of Quality Control of Education is directly subordinated to the rector of the university. The vice-rector, deans, and heads of structural departments are not permitted to interfere with the activities of this department.
Main Tasks of the Department
1. Optimize, transform, and refine processes that ensure the ongoing quality of education.
2. Develop an effective faculty capable of maintaining educational quality, which includes the selection and recruitment of potential teachers, as well as creating transparent organizational mechanisms to enhance their professional skills and qualifications.
3. Assess the organization of the educational process to ensure compliance with regulatory legal requirements, focusing on the effective use of HEMIS and MOODLE systems, including the timely and complete inclusion of data in the information system, and ensuring that the credit-module system is managed at the required level.
4. Evaluate the integration of modern pedagogical and information technologies in educational activities, ensuring that quality control of lesson processes is established at the necessary level and others.
