“Young Guides School” at TSUOS– a Program on the Path of Knowledge and Experience Successfully Concluded
In accordance with the joint resolution of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Committee for Tourism under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change dated July 18, 2025, as well as the order of the Rector of TSUOS dated July 23, 2025, a series of activities were carried out within the framework of the “Young Guides School” program at the university.
The program aimed to integrate students’ theoretical knowledge with practice, develop their professional skills in guiding, improve their communication abilities in foreign languages, and promote Uzbekistan’s rich historical and cultural heritage. It also contributes to preparing young people as competitive specialists in the field of tourism.
Within the project, lectures, seminars, and practical sessions were conducted by the professors of the Department of Tourism and Nargiza Salomova, Chair of the Uzbekistan Guides Association and an experienced guide-interpreter. Students gained opportunities to strengthen their skills in organizing excursion services, working at historical and cultural sites, and enhancing translation abilities.
In addition, they completed practical training in museums, historical monuments, and cultural centers, while also attending meetings and master classes with professionals in the field, where they learned about modern methods used in guiding activities.
As a result, students acquired essential skills in independently organizing excursions, developing tourist routes, communicating with foreign guests, and promoting Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage on the international stage.
Thus, the “Young Guides School” program not only enhanced students’ professional competence but also contributed to strengthening Uzbekistan’s reputation in the field of national and international tourism.
