A cultural and educational event titled “Uzbekistan – A Rare Cradle of World Heritage” was held in Bahrain, showcasing the rich heritage and tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
In anticipation of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, set to take place in Samarkand in 2025, a delegation from the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies organized a promotional event in Bahrain’s capital, Manama.
The event began with presentations on Uzbekistan’s vibrant tourism potential, directed at Bahrain’s leading tourism companies. Attendees expressed their excitement at discovering a new side of Uzbekistan, recognizing it as an emerging top destination for Bahraini travelers. “Halal food and stunning landscapes have long fascinated Arabs. However, we are even more captivated by the fact that Uzbekistan also offers unique pilgrimage tourism opportunities”, remarked Mohammed Qader, director of the “Al-siyaha maana” tourism company. It was emphasized that there is a growing need for tailored tour packages for Bahraini tourists.
The second part of the event welcomed leaders from various official Bahraini organizations, diplomats, foreign guests, public representatives, and delegates from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
