TSUOS Delegation Met with Istanbul University and THE Agency
On June 17, 2025, the delegation of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies held a meeting with the administration of the Research Institute of Turkology under one of Turkiye’s prestigious higher education institutions — Istanbul University. The meeting was attended by the institute’s director, Professor Ayşe Zişan Furat.
The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere and was devoted to discussing important matters aimed at strengthening bilateral academic cooperation. In particular, the sides discussed launching joint research projects on the study of Turkish and Uzbek languages, literature, culture, and history, developing student and faculty exchange programs, as well as organizing joint seminars and conferences.
On the same day, the TSUOS delegation also held a meeting with Lachyn Italmazova, the Commercial Director for the UK and Europe of the international ranking agency Times Higher Education (THE).
At the conclusion of the meetings, the parties expressed mutual interest in establishing long-term cooperation, noting that this visit would bring TSUOS’s international partnerships to a new level.
