An award ceremony for the winners of the national stage of the “Gender Equality Activist” competition was held at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
On February 14 of this year, the winners of the republican stage of the competition were officially awarded.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Chairperson of the Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva.




The competition is traditionally organized every year at the initiative of the Republican Commission on Gender Equality and Family Affairs to strengthen the role and status of women in society.
The main objectives of the competition are to promote effective gender equality policies in organizations, identify and disseminate best practices, and protect the rights and legitimate interests of women.
The competition was held in 7 nominations in accordance with the established regulations:
• Most Active Republican Organization
• Most Active Regional Organization
• Most Active District (City) Organization
• Most Active Local Government (Hokimiyat)
• Most Active Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organization
• Most Active Business Entity
• Most Active Mass Media Outlet


According to the results, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies was awarded in the nomination
“Most Active Regional Organization in Promoting Gender Equality.”
