The Rector TSUOS delivered lectures in Uzbek at HUFS.
Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) is one of the closest partners of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS). For many years, Uzbek has been taught at HUFS, and Korean students have regularly studied at TSUOS through academic exchange programs.
During her official visit to Korea, TSUOS Rector Gulchekhra Rikhsiyeva delivered a lecture for students and professors of the HUFS Institute for Central Asian Studies on the topic “Language Education and International Cooperation in Uzbekistan’s Strategy.”
The lecture included discussions on current issues such as modern language policy, the concept of soft power, and the role of artificial intelligence in education.
G. Rikhsiyeva also visited the department where Uzbek is taught, conducted a class, observed the lessons, and interacted with students.
In addition, a meeting was held with the Vice President of HUFS to exchange views on further cooperation.
Future work plans and areas of collaboration were also discussed with Dr. Son, Director of the Institute for Central Asian Studies.
