Collaboration Between Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and the University of Warwick (UK)
On May 14, 2025, the Rector of TSUOS, Professor Gulchehra Rikhsiyeva, and Head of the Department of Western Languages, Associate Professor Saodat Saidakbarova, visited the University of Warwick and met with the leadership and professors of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics and the School of Education, Language and Culture Studies (SELCS).
The University of Warwick, recognized for its academic excellence, ranks 69th in the QS World University Rankings.
The two parties reached an agreement to develop academic cooperation in the following areas:
• Organizing online seminars for English language teachers on innovative teaching methods and the integration of artificial intelligence into the learning process;
• Conducting English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses tailored to various fields;
• Holding seminars and knowledge exchange events aimed at strengthening intercultural communication through English;
• Conducting joint scientific research in the aforementioned areas;
• Providing academic supervision and consultation on research projects and dissertations;
• Organizing summer schools and short-term internships for TSUOS students at the University of Warwick;
• Promoting opportunities for TSUOS graduates to pursue Master’s and PhD programs through the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation, including hosting informative seminars.
This visit marked an important step in strengthening strategic cooperation between the two universities and launching new joint
