TSUOS Representatives at the University of Oxford

On May 17, representatives of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies visited the prestigious University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
• During the visit, the delegation met with Dr. Alexander Morrison, Professor at New College, and Associate Professor Jaimee Skipstock. The discussions focused on opportunities for academic collaboration between TSUOS and Oxford in the fields of history and historiography.
• The parties agreed on joint research projects, academic exchanges, and methodological seminars for young scholars. In particular, an agreement was reached for Dr. Morrison to deliver an online lecture for TSUOS’s faculty of history.
• G. Rikhsiyeva proposed that students studying Persian at Oxford take part in internships and summer schools at TSUOS. The parties also discussed the possibility of teaching the Uzbek language to history students at Oxford.
