“Sustainable Development: Inclusive Education and Women’s Initiatives”

On February 15, 2025, the V International Forum “Sustainable Development: Inclusive Education and Women’s Initiatives” was held at TSUOS in honor of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
The main goal of the event was to discuss the expansion of women’s participation in science, the development of an inclusive education system, and the strengthening of international cooperation on gender equality.
The forum was opened by the rector of TSUOS, Professor Gulchehra Rikhsieva. The following distinguished guests delivered speeches: Zulayho Mahkamova – Chairperson of the Committee on Family and Women’s Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan; Nigina Abaszade – Permanent Representative of the UN Population Fund in Uzbekistan; Shirin Abidova – Head of the Uzbekistan Volunteers Association; Umida Abdullayeva – Head of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan; Malika Kodirkhanova – Chairperson of the Committee on Women and Gender Equality of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis; Denise Waddingham – Director of the British Council in Uzbekistan.
As part of the forum, a special exhibition featuring the creative works and handicrafts of women with disabilities and members of the “Orientalist Women Leaders Club” was also held.
