On November 25, 2025, another Azerbaijani language lesson was held in the “Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Studies Center” lecture room at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The lesson was organized within the framework of an academic and educational project implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center. This project aims to regularly teach the Azerbaijani language, improve methodological approaches, and enhance students’ interest in language learning.

During the lesson, invited experts of the project — Shafiqa Tahirova and Türkan Ömərova — delivered presentations on Azerbaijani language teaching methodology and introduced modern teaching techniques, as well as practical exercises designed to develop students’ speaking and listening skills. They emphasized the importance of cultural context in language learning, the creation of a linguistic environment, and the role of interactive approaches in the educational process.

The session was attended by the Head of the Higher School of Turkology of TSUOS, PhD, Associate Professor M. Aripov; Head of the Center for Turkological Studies, PhD, Associate Professor J. Shabanov; Head of the Azerbaijani Language and Culture Center under TSUOS, PhD, Acting Associate Professor N. Altinboyev; Associate Professor of the Higher School L. Aminova; students of TSUOS and UzSWLU; as well as representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center. During the event, students recited poems in Azerbaijani and demonstrated their language skills. The participants also exchanged views on the contemporary importance of studying Turkic languages in depth, the expanding cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, and the strengthening of cultural ties among youth.

At the end of the event, it was highlighted that the “Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Studies Center” lecture room was established in 2023 by the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center. Since its opening, this classroom has been regularly used for Azerbaijani language teaching, academic seminars, literary meetings, and various cultural activities. The center plays a significant role in strengthening cultural ties between the two nations, expanding students’ linguistic opportunities, and increasing interest in the Azerbaijani language.
