South Korean Delegation Visited TSUOS
On April 19, 2025, a delegation led by Vice President Kim Seon Jung of Keimyung University (Republic of Korea) visited the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS).
During the meeting, an agreement was signed to launch a joint “2+2” educational program in collaboration with TSUOS, focusing on the fields of “Philology and Language Teaching (Korean Language)” and “Economics.” According to the program, student admissions are planned to commence from the 2025/2026 academic year. The possibility of establishing cooperation on implementing distance education at TSUOS was also discussed.
In recognition of the Keimyung University President’s status as an honorary professor at TSUOS, a scholarship totaling $10,000 USD was awarded to 20 TSUOS students. This scholarship is intended for students who actively participate in the educational process, have achieved high academic results, and demonstrate strong potential.
Furthermore, as a result of the discussions, it was agreed to organize a professional development program at Keimyung University for 8 Korean language instructors and 3 students from TSUOS during the 2025/2026 academic year. All expenses related to the training courses will be covered by Keimyung University.
