Admissions are open for the 2025–2026 academic year
at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies for a joint education program!

Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, in cooperation with Liaoning Normal University of the People’s Republic of China, offers a Joint Program in the field of 60230100 PHILOLOGY AND LANGUAGE TEACHING: CHINESE LANGUAGE – a unique opportunity to study and receive diplomas from both universities!

DURATION OF STUDY: 4 YEARS

  • 2 years at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (Language of instruction: Uzbek)
  • 2 years at Liaoning Normal University (Language of instruction: Chinese)

Graduates will be awarded diplomas from both universities.
The courses will be conducted under the credit-modular system by leading professors and instructors from both Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Liaoning Normal University.

TUITION DETAILS:

  • At Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies – based on a tuition contract.
  • At Liaoning Normal University – covered by a special grant from China.

TERMS OF STUDY AT TASHKENT STATE UNIVERSITY OF ORIENTAL STUDIES:

  1. Annual tuition fee: 22,000,000 UZS
  2. Over 2 years, students will be provided with the necessary resources and environment to achieve HSK Level 3 in Chinese.
  3. Only students who achieve HSK Level 3 will be recommended to continue their 3rd and 4th years of study at Liaoning Normal University.
  4. Students who do not obtain HSK Level 3 will not be eligible for the grant and thus cannot study in China under the grant program.
  5. Students admitted to the first year must pay the full tuition fee in advance as specified in the contract.

TERMS OF STUDY AT LIAONING NORMAL UNIVERSITY:

  1. For 2 years, tuition, health insurance, dormitory, and daily living expenses will be covered by a special grant from China.
  2. Students will be responsible for their own travel expenses (airfare to/from China).
  3. By the end of the 3rd year, students must achieve HSK Level 4;
    by the end of the 4th year, they must achieve HSK Level 5 in Chinese.
  4. If students fail to pass their final exams or do not obtain the required HSK 4 and HSK 5 levels, they will lose their grant privileges and will be required to continue their education on a paid basis, covering all related costs

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

Applicants wishing to enroll in this joint education program may submit the following documents from August 4, 2025, to September 2, 2025
to the Admissions Committee of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies:

  1. A scanned copy of the passport (including the page with residential address) or ID card
  2. A scanned copy of the certificate or diploma from high school, lyceum, or college
  3. A scanned copy of a Chinese language proficiency certificate (if available)
  4. A scanned copy of the State Testing Center result sheet showing test scores for the relevant educational field

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:

Upon completing this joint education program, graduates will be qualified to work in ministries and government agencies, diplomatic services, schools, and colleges.
They will also be eligible to pursue master’s degrees at universities in Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China.
