On October 25, 2024, a roundtable discussion on the topic “Early Prevention of Student Offenses” was held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The event was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Olimkhon Ergashev Alisherovich, a graduate student of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, University Inspector Muazzam Jo’rayeva, as well as faculty deans, deputy deans, tutors, and students.
In Uzbekistan, a modern generation of youth is growing up, perceiving the world in new ways and equally embracing the heritage of their ancestors, universal values, and discoveries. Organizing systematic efforts for the prevention of various offenses and crimes among young people has become one of the important tasks of today.
During the discussion, Lieutenant Colonel Olimkhon Ergashev spoke to students about the prevention of offenses, early prevention efforts, and the dangers of drug addiction, religious extremism, terrorism, and their tragic consequences. Students received detailed answers to their questions and shared their thoughts on the topic.
During the event, video clips encouraging students to be vigilant and alert were shown.
At the end of the roundtable, the university administration, faculty, and responsible staff emphasized the need for continuous attention to the prevention of offenses among students in collaboration with law enforcement agencies.
