Lectures with the Participation of Foreign Professors Held at TSUOS
On May 16, 2025, at the initiative of the Faculty of Eastern Civilization and Philosophy and the Department of Central Asian Peoples’ History of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, lectures were organized for students with the participation of foreign professors.
Dr. Karim Kamal Helal, a specialist in Islamic architecture, PhD, associate professor (Arab Republic of Egypt), delivered a lecture on the topic: “Islamic Architectural Traditions in Central Asia: Historical Development and Cultural Heritage.”
Dr. Nader Al-Wathir, a historian and expert on the history and source studies of Mawarannahr (State of Kuwait), gave a lecture on the topic: “Studying the Historical and Cultural Development of Mawarannahr Based on Arabic Sources.”
During the lecture, professors and instructors discussed the styles of Islamic architecture that developed in Central Asia, their historical roots, cultural significance, and their study as a cultural heritage today. They also explored how the civilization of Mawarannahr is reflected in Arabic historical sources, emphasizing their antiquity, reliability, and scholarly importance.
At the end of the event, students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers. The professors were presented with letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts from the university.
