A meeting was held at Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies with representatives from Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd of Japan.

As part of the visit of Yasushi Nishikawa, Deputy Manager of the South Asia Business Department of the major Japanese construction and infrastructure company — Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd, a working meeting focused on cooperation opportunities was conducted. The main topics discussed included prospects for relocating part of the company’s activities to Uzbekistan, forms of collaboration in training qualified personnel, and opportunities for developing local talent.

During the meeting, the following issues were comprehensively discussed:

– Opportunities for Japanese company’s placement in Uzbekistan (office, management, consumer and technical staff base) and the profile of necessary specialists;
– Prospects for training qualified specialists who are proficient in Japanese, as well as skilled in information technology, CAD, and BIM (Building Information Modeling);
– Updating academic programs in accordance with local needs and company requirements, and organizing vocational training courses;
– Mechanisms for internships, practical training, and employment for students and graduates, including questions of financial support and social conditions during internships;
– Establishing a working group for implementing mutually beneficial projects, as well as coordinating future joint visits, project schedules, and monitoring plans.

This meeting was productive and meaningful for both sides, and a clear roadmap for further cooperation with Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd was outlined. As a result, expectations include expanding opportunities for modern professional training and language education in Uzbekistan, as well as nurturing and supporting local young professionals according to international standards.
