The heads of a Japanese company visited TSUOS

On October 2, 2025, a delegation headed by Mr. Yamasaka Tetsuro, Chairman of Balcom Company, Honorary Consul of Uzbekistan in the Hiroshima, Okayama, and Fukuoka prefectures, and President of the Japan–Uzbekistan Association for Economy, Culture, and Sports, visited Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, accompanied by executives from seven Japanese companies.

During the visit, the parties held in-depth discussions on organizing student internships, providing employment opportunities for graduates, and launching joint training and educational programs between the university and Japanese companies. In addition, an agreement was reached to establish a new center at the university with investments from Balcom Company.

This center will serve as a platform for providing centralized internship and employment opportunities for students and graduates, organizing training sessions and master classes in cooperation with companies, implementing scientific and practical projects, as well as promoting cultural and academic exchanges.

As part of the visit, the delegation inspected the allocated site for the center and made an initial assessment of the technical facilities. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to develop a detailed work plan for the center, define financial and organizational mechanisms, and formalize agreements on internships and employment.
