On October 14, 2025, a delegation headed by Professor Tadashi Onodera, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Education and Research at Yamagata University (Japan), visited Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS). During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation between the two universities in the fields of education and practical skills, as well as the establishment of a new training center.
Within the framework of the visit, the parties discussed the possibility of signing an agreement on the establishment of a “Training and Entrepreneurship Education Center.”
This center will be established at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies in cooperation with Yamagata University, specialized centers for Japanese language and skills training, and Japanese business skills development institutions.
The activities of the new center will be carried out in accordance with the priorities outlined in Presidential Decree No. PF-158 of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 16, 2024, “On the Development of a Qualified Personnel Training System and Expansion of International Cooperation.”
The main goal of the center is to prepare young people and professionals for employment in Japan, to develop entrepreneurship and business skills, and to enhance their professional potential through in-depth study of the Japanese language and culture. Additionally, the center will introduce educational programs based on Japan’s advanced experience and implement joint initiatives aimed at developing social entrepreneurship and innovative projects.
As a result of this cooperation, students of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies will gain new learning opportunities, access to international-standard professional training programs, and expanded prospects for internships and employment in Japan.
