Roundtable on “Peace is the highest blessing” and “There is no place for extremism and terrorism in Islam”
On February 4, 2019, was held a roundtable discussion between professors and students of the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies on “Peace is the highest blessing” and “There is no place for extremism and terrorism in Islam”. The vice-rector on for academic and educational affairs of Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies A.Vahidov opened the event and introduced participants of the meeting with topics on the agenda.
Then the turn was given to I.Marupov, a leading specialist of the Religious Affairs Committee under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. I.Marrupov spoke about the issue of peace, the spread of various extremist, terrorist movements in the world, and the absence of extremism and terrorism in Islam.
After vigorous talk, the vice-rector for academic and educational affairs A.Vohidov expressed deep gratitude to the guests of the event and noted that frequent round-table discussions contributed to the growth of secular and religious knowledge of students. At the end of the event, students received answers to their questions.
