Duties of the Center

  1. The following are the main tasks of the Center:

– Within the framework of cultural exchange between Uzbekistan and Japan, we aim to establish a strong foundation for strengthening relations between the two countries. Our goals include training scientific and pedagogical staff in this area and conducting collaborative scientific research with local and international partners.

– We will conduct scientific research focused on the in-depth study of literary, historical, and philosophical works in both Uzbek and Japanese languages, promoting the values of our country and its national cultural heritage on a global scale.

– We plan to organize scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, and roundtable discussions at various levels to facilitate cultural exchange between Uzbekistan and Japan.

– We will regularly publish materials to introduce the center’s activities and share scientific results in both national and university publications.

– We will organize Japanese language classes (levels A1 to C1) for students at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and other educational institutions. This will include practice tests and assistance in applying for and obtaining nationally and internationally recognized certificates.

– We will provide practical support in translating works of renowned literary figures from Uzbekistan and Japan, as well as popular films and cartoons.

– We aim to involve leading oriental scholars, both domestic and international, in the center’s activities.

– We will develop startup and innovative projects in collaboration with talented students, master’s candidates, and doctoral students, fostering close cooperation with institutions in Uzbekistan and Japan, and holding scientific seminars and project presentations.

The center performs the following functions in accordance with the tasks assigned to it:

-The university conducts research based on the scientific projects and work plan of the center. Its activities include:

– Organizing seminars, roundtable discussions, and conferences on current issues related to Uzbekistan and Japan.

– Attracting partner universities and educational institutions to facilitate student internships and practical training in Japan, and organizing the signing of cooperation agreements with new organizations.

– For students scheduled for professional internships in Japan, we will conduct “Grace to Japan” master classes led by Japanese specialists, providing practical assistance with the preparation and translation of documents related to their trips.

– Preparing analytical articles and reports to communicate research findings to the general public, in alignment with the approved plans of the university and the center.

– Collaborating with foreign experts to develop educational courses and literature.

– Participating in other analytical projects that align with the university’s goals and objectives.

– Involving university professors, students, researchers, master’s candidates, employees of state management bodies, representatives of analytical centers, scientific institutions, and foreign specialists in the organization of the center’s activities.
