International Hindi Day at Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies
On January 10, 2020, the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies in cooperation with the Embassy of India in Uzbekistan and the Indian Cultural Center named after LBShastri celebrated “Indian Language Day”. Students of Yunusabad Academic Lyceum under the Tashkent School of Education and Science, teachers and students of the University of World Languages participated in the event. At the event, the Ambassador congratulated the winners of the quiz with books and thanked the leadership of the institute and its staff for the great work being done today to develop the Indian language at the institute. Rector of the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies G. Rixsiyeva noted that today the relations between our country and the Republic of India are strengthening in various fields, in the field of education the institute has big plans for the further development of Indian studies, in the implementation of these plans with the institute staff and Indian friends. He expressed hope for deepening and expanding cooperation. The event was held in a lively and upbeat atmosphere with cultural performances prepared by students and pupils.
