An official meeting of the rectors of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Leiden University was held
As previously reported, currently on a business trip at one of the oldest universities in the Netherlands – at the University of Leiden, the rector of TSUOS G.Rikhsiyeva met with the rector of this university with Professor Hester Bijl. The rector of the university, Professor Hester Bijl, is the first female rector of an educational institution with almost 500 years of history.
Professor Hester Bijl welcomed the rector of TSUOS G.Rihsiyeva in one of the oldest premises of Leiden University – in The meeting room. The meeting was also attended by professor Gabriella Van den Berg, a senior official at the University of Leiden, an expert in the art of oriental miniatures, and an Iranian scientist.
At the beginning of the meeting, G.Rikhsiyeva spoke in detail about the positive changes in the system of higher education in Uzbekistan. During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on new areas of cooperation within the framework of the updated agreement between TSUOS and Leiden University, and plans for the future were also discussed. Also, in order to develop mutual cooperation, the parties agreed to expand the academic exchange of faculty and students, hold international conferences in cooperation, and implement scientific projects.
