Tourism Cooperation Between Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Chust District Enters a New Stage

As part of bilateral cooperation between Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Chust District, an important meeting of a new stage was held. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of Tourism of the university, Mr. Chori Kodirovich Khusanov, and the Deputy Hokim of Chust District for Youth Policy, Social Development, and Spiritual-Educational Affairs, Mr. Zukhriddin Raymjonovich Boybaev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further developing the tourism potential of Chust District, fostering modern tourism skills in the region, engaging young people more actively in the sector, and thereby creating new job opportunities.

In addition, they exchanged views on developing tourism infrastructure, making effective use of historical and cultural heritage sites, promoting traditional handicrafts, and increasing local employment opportunities.

The main directions of cooperation were defined as follows:

  • organizing internships and practical training for Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies students in Chust District;
  • preparing local guides and establishing qualification enhancement courses for them;
  • providing modern tourism knowledge to youth and school students through seminars, trainings, and master classes;
  • holding educational and awareness-raising events on tourism in the schools and colleges of the district;
  • developing a tourist map and informational materials about Chust District.

A key outcome of the meeting was reaching an agreement to open a branch of the Tourism Department of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies at Chust Polytechnic Colleges No. 1 and No. 2. This initiative will contribute to the formation of an education and professional development system in the field of tourism in the region.

The parties also agreed to start concrete planning of joint projects, programs, and initiatives in the near future.

This cooperation initiative is set to become an important step toward the comprehensive development of the tourism sector in Chust District, ensuring youth employment, and enhancing both domestic and international tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
