Duties of the Center
The following are the main tasks of the Center:
– To conduct scientific research aimed at the comprehensive study of Chinese culture, including literary, historical, and philosophical sources in the Chinese language, and to explore the values of our country alongside our national cultural heritage and that of the People’s Republic of China:
– Conduct a scientific study of ancient and modern Chinese culture, analyzing both traditional and contemporary practices, while training scientific and pedagogical staff in this area and collaborating with local and foreign partners on research projects.
– Translate and publish significant works of Chinese classical literature.
– Identify and study written monuments and historical documents related to our country’s history found in Chinese manuscript collections and archives, preparing scientific and explanatory publications based on these Chinese manuscripts held in local institutions.
– Implement translation projects related to Chinese culture, heritage, history, literature, and philosophy, and organize scientific conferences, seminars, and roundtable discussions at various levels within this field.
– Facilitate the exchange of ancient literature and tourism resources from the era of the Great Silk Road.
– Establish an academic journal through bilateral cooperation for the publication of research.
– Enhance the qualifications of teachers and researchers by organizing scientific seminars, roundtable discussions, and various practical conferences dedicated to creative writing.
– Monitor and ensure the timely execution of research projects conducted at the university in accordance with state scientific programs.
– Regularly publish materials that introduce the center’s activities and scientific results in national and university publications.
– Involve leading orientalist scholars in Chinese studies, both from our country and abroad, in the center’s initiatives.
– Organize specialized training seminars for experts on preparing journalistic materials, writing articles in the journalistic genre, and studying the editing rules for such articles.
– Provide practical training on writing traditional texts using a creative approach.
– Introduce young writers in fiction and prose to global literary practices, with a special focus on Chinese literature.
– Undertake translation projects and critiques of literary and scientific sources, involving doctoral students and early-stage researchers.
– Organize summer camps focused on writing essays and stories for talented students in collaboration with the Youth Affairs Agency.
– Offer short-term copywriting courses for students studying philology, journalism, and tourism, including masterclasses on creative writing and effective text selection for blogging about tourist sites.
– Conduct short-term courses on teaching contemporary literature trends to aspiring writers and screenwriters, implementing joint projects.
– Actively participate in the formation of a new generation of oriental experts capable of writing literary works, novels, and conducting research and analysis.
– Facilitate annual educational exchanges, sending bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students for mutual educational exchange and practical pedagogical training.
– Develop forums and innovative projects with talented students, master’s candidates, and doctoral students, establishing close collaboration with scientific research institutions of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and organizing scientific seminars and project presentations.
The center performs the following functions in accordance with its assigned tasks:
– The university conducts research based on the center’s scientific plans and objectives.
– Organizes seminars, roundtable discussions, and conferences on current issues of Chinese culture and heritage.
– Prepares analytical articles and reports to communicate research results to the general public, based on the approved plans of the university and the center.
– Participates in the development of educational courses and literature in collaboration with foreign experts.
– Engages in other analytical projects that align with the university’s goals and objectives.
– Involves university professors, students, researchers, and employees from state agencies, as well as representatives from analytical centers and scientific institutions, including foreign specialists, in the center’s operations.
– Organizes specialized seminars for experts on preparing journalistic materials and writing articles, along with training on the relevant editing rules.
– Conducts practical training on writing advertising texts using a creative approach.
– Introduces young fiction and prose writers to global literary experiences, especially those from China.
– Prepares materials on various aspects of Chinese culture and heritage.
