Duties of the Center

 The following are the main tasks of the Center:

– Conduct scientific research aimed at a comprehensive study of Chinese culture, including literary and philosophical sources in the Chinese language, and promote the values of our country and national cultural heritage within the People’s Republic of China.

– Engage in the scientific study of modern Chinese literature, analyzing genres within contemporary Chinese literature, and train scientific and pedagogical staff in collaboration with local and foreign partners.

– Translate works of modern Chinese literature into Uzbek, and modern Uzbek literature into Chinese, while introducing and promoting examples of Uzbek literature to Chinese readers.

– Research the field of creative writing and develop programs for studying this discipline at the bachelor’s and master’s levels.

– Organize scientific conferences, seminars, and roundtable discussions at various levels focusing on modern Chinese literature, literary genres, online literature, and creative writing.

– Develop recommendations for integrating creative writing into the curricula of courses related to language, literature, and philosophy in the university’s bachelor’s and master’s programs.

– Enhance the qualifications of teachers and researchers by organizing scientific seminars, roundtable discussions, and various scientific and practical conferences dedicated to creative writing.

– Monitor and ensure the timely execution of research projects carried out at the university within the framework of state scientific programs.

– Regularly publish materials that introduce the center’s activities, scientific results, and achievements in national and university publications.

– Involve leading orientalist scholars in Chinese studies from our country and abroad in the center’s initiatives.

– Organize specialized training seminars for experts on preparing journalistic materials, writing articles in the journalistic genre, and studying the relevant editing rules.

– Facilitate practical training on writing advertising texts using a creative approach.

– Introduce young writers in fiction and prose to global literary experiences, with a particular emphasis on Chinese literature.

– Work on translation projects of literary and scientific sources and engage in translation criticism, involving doctoral students and early-stage researchers.

– Organize summer camps for talented students focused on writing essays and stories in collaboration with the Youth Affairs Agency.

– Provide short-term copywriting courses for students studying philology, journalism, and tourism, including masterclasses on creative writing and effective text selection for blogging about tourism sites.

– Conduct short-term courses for young writers and screenwriters on the latest trends in contemporary literature and implement joint projects.

– Actively participate in the development of a new generation of oriental experts capable of writing literary works, conducting research, and performing analyses.

– Annually facilitate mutual educational exchanges, sending bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral students, and early-stage researchers for scientific and practical pedagogical training.

– Develop startup and innovative projects in collaboration with talented students, master’s candidates, and doctoral students, establishing close cooperation with scientific research institutions of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and conducting scientific seminars and project presentations.

 

  1. The center performs the following functions in accordance with the tasks assigned to it:

– The university conducts research based on the scientific work plan of the center.

– China will host scientific conferences, seminars, and roundtable discussions at various levels focusing on modern literature, literary genres, online literature, and creative writing.

– The university prepares analytical articles and reports to communicate research results to the public, following the approved plans of the university and the center.

– It participates in the development of educational courses and literature in collaboration with foreign experts.

– The university engages in other analytical projects that align with its goals and objectives.

– Professors, students, researchers, master’s candidates, and employees from state management bodies, analytical centers, scientific institutions, and foreign specialists are involved in the center’s activities.

– The university organizes specialized training seminars for experts on preparing journalistic materials, writing articles in the journalistic genre, and understanding the relevant editing rules.

– Practical training sessions are organized for writing advertising texts using a creative approach.

– Young people involved in fiction and prose are introduced to global literary experiences, particularly those from China.

– The university works on translation projects for literary and scientific sources, as well as translation criticism, involving doctoral and early-stage researchers.

– Summer camps are organized for talented students focused on writing essays and stories in collaboration with the Youth Affairs Agency.

– The university imparts knowledge and skills in creativity and creative writing in Chinese to students and researchers.

– It publishes scientific articles and educational literature in collaboration with faculty members from the Creative Writing Department of Shanghai University.
