REPORT-ELECTION CONFERENCE OF THE TRADE UNION COMMITTEE AT TASHKENT STATE UNIVERSITY OF ORIENTAL STUDIES
On April 28, 2025, a report-election conference dedicated to the five-year activity of the Trade Union Committee was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The event was attended by the university administration, trade union members, faculty deans, professors, staff, and student representatives.
The conference was chaired by U. Qilichev, Chief Specialist of the Tashkent City Council of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Uzbekistan.
The report-election conference analyzed the activities of the trade union in the following main areas:
• protection of the interests of staff and students,
• improvement of working conditions,
• organization of cultural and educational events and wellness activities,
• implementation of social support programs.
Another important issue addressed during the event was the election of the university’s Trade Union Committee Chairperson. The proposed candidate — Khusanov Chori Kodirovich — was re-elected through a secret ballot.
The report-election conference was held in a sincere and friendly atmosphere. Participants freely expressed their opinions and suggestions, attentively listening to one another. Those who spoke on the report gave positive and constructive proposals and wished success to the new members of the Trade Union Committee.
