“Tourism Fest – 2025”: International Tourism Day was widely celebrated at Tashkent state university of oriental studies
September 27, a large-scale festival “Tourism Fest – 2025”, dedicated to International Tourism Day, was held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies at the initiative of the Department of Tourism. The main goal of the festival was to increase interest in the tourism sector among student youth, promote national values, and unlock creative and intellectual potential.
The event was opened by the vice-rector for scientific work of Tashkent state university of oriental studies D.B. Sayfullaev. Also, the Director of the institute of Foreign policy and international economic relations, G.T. Arifjonov, and the Head of the department of Tourism, Ch.K. Khusanov, participated and congratulated everyone on the holiday and conveyed their sincere wishes to the students. Within the framework of the festival, various cultural, creative, and intellectual events were organized, including: “Holiday Event Dedicated to Tourism Day”
– enriched with students’ artistic performances, performances of songs and dances;
– Gastronomic review-competition “Mirror of National Values” – students demonstrated their talents by preparing national dishes and presenting them in a creative style;
Intellectual game “Zakovat” – a competition of knowledge was held among students through questions about tourism, culture, and history;
Video competition – students presented short videos promoting tourism and reflecting national values.
“Tourism Fest – 2025” not only created a festive atmosphere, but also provided an opportunity for students studying in the field of tourism to demonstrate their abilities, present their creative developments, and gain a deeper understanding of national values. At the end of the event, the winners and active participants were awarded commemorative gifts and diplomas.
